Students looking for an experience at a prestigious British University set on the beautiful Welsh coast need look no further. Bryn Mawr's newest study abroad program is a partnership with Aberystwyth University in Wales, set in the picturesque Welsh resort town of Aberystwyth.

This English-based, spring semester study allows students to enroll in a full-time course of study at the University, including Welsh language lessons. Unique fields of study include biological, environmental and rural sciences; history and Welsh history; modern languages; theatre, film and television studies; and Welsh and Celtic studies.

Other disciplines that may be considered in this program include art, computer science, education, English and creative writing, geography and earth sciences, history, international politics, mathematics, physics, and psychology.

To apply to this program, students must have a 3.0 GPA and submit an application to Bryn Mawr for nomination.

While in Wales, students can enjoy the coastline, Aberystwyth Castle, and steam train rides in the Vale of Rheidol.
