Class of 2018: Emily Spiegel

Post-graduation plans: Emily will start working as a management consulting analyst for Accenture in Boston.

Emily on her Bryn Mawr experience: "As a student at Bryn Mawr, I'm constantly surrounded by people doing incredible things with their considerable talents and admirable passion. That environment, where I'm supported by such an amazing community, has been the perfect place to develop the confidence I need to reach my goals. I've never felt as capable of achieving my goals as I have at Bryn Mawr." 

Major: Biology
Minor: Psychology

Key Bryn Mawr experiences:

  • Captain of the Varsity Crew Team; member of several record-breaking boats; in June, she was named to the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Team 

  • Conducting research for three years in the evolutionary and developmental biology lab of Prof. Gregory K. Davis. I presented my research at several conferences, including the national symposium for the Society of Integrative and Comparative Biology

  • Leading the planning and hosting of the 2016-17 Sisters Conference for more than 60 delegates from the Seven Sisters Consortium 

  • Writing and premiering the 2015 Bryn Mawr Athletics video collaboration with the You Can Play Foundation, pledging our support to all athletes regardless of race, gender identity, sexuality, or socioeconomic status. 

Hometown: Port Trevorton, Pennsylvania.
