""

Name: Lillian DiPetrillo Hunter

Major: Economics, Public Health Policy (independent major)

Minor: Mathematics

Hometown: Highland Park, NJ

Post-graduation plans: I will be joining the Urban Institute as a research assistant this July.  Until then, I will be taking some well-deserved time off down the shore.

People you want to thank:

  • My mother, for her prudent and sage advice, her (nearly) endless patience and knowing exactly when its time to take a break for a bowl of matzoh ball soup and some French fries.
  • My thesis advisors – Dr. West and Dr. Nutting – for their constant and courteous guidance.
  • My friends, particularly my friends from the class of 2020 – Alexis, Lea and Julia – as well as my friends in the economics department – Mahima and Nora.
  • My partner, Robert, for always being willing to hear about my work, whether I’m talking about the Earned Income Tax Credit or anti-Malaria programs in the United States.

And thank you to all of the wonderful people – friends and family alike – who have supported me during my time at Bryn Mawr.  Thank you for your limitless encouragement and for making my time at Bryn Mawr so fruitful.

Key Bryn Mawr Experiences:

  • Designing an independent major in Public Health Policy
  • Haverford Public Policy Forum Mentorship Program
  • Peer Mentor at the Q Center
  • Community-based work/study at Women’s Medical Fund
  • Co-founder, Data Science Club
