Dear Bryn Mawr Community,
There has been so much love and joy on campus this year.
We opened the College's 140th year in September with dance at Convocation. We closed it with an a cappella rendition of "Dancing Queen" at Commencement and a multi-generational step-sing at Reunion, in which the music, love, laughter, and tears told their own stories. Throughout, we poured our hearts into what this community does best: teaching and learning; researching and creating; growing, debating, and connecting.
We did this work together, charting a strategic direction – The Next Chapter – that will bring us to our 150th anniversary, when students who are now completing fourth grade will begin their time at the College. In today's political and social context, this is not easy work. But we are in it together, guided by our mission statement, the North Star of our intentional academic community, and our commitments to one another.
I invite you to enjoy this video reflection on a spectacular year.
From a quieter campus, I wish you a summer of rest and rejuvenation. I hope the months bring many chances to dance.
As always,
Wendy
