Emergency Notification Test

The following email was sent to faculty, students, and staff Director of Operations in Campus Safety Lil Burroughs on March 15.

Friends,

We will be conducting a test of our Emergency Notification System this Friday (March 18th) at 3pm. Our emergency notification system is comprised of:

  1. An audible siren / public address component.
  2. An electronic notification component capable of sending out messages via land-line, cell phone, e-mail and text messaging.

Message content will be:

This is a test of the Bryn Mawr College Emergency Notification System. This is only a test.  In the event of an emergency, you will be notified by a combination of e-mail, text, and voice messages with information on the nature of the emergency, what action to undertake, and where to turn for further information.  This is only a test. Thank you for your participation.

Important: To let the alert system know that you received the message:

  • By Phone: After you listen to the message - press 1 to confirm receipt.
  • Via E-Mail: The e-mail alert will contain a link that contains the message. Click on the e-mail link to confirm receipt of the message.
