The Society for Classical Studies has honored Gordon P. Kelly Ph.D. ’99 with the Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Classics at the College Level. When Kelly began teaching at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, OR in 2004, he was the only full-time classicist in a small interdisciplinary Classic minor. Over 10 years, Kelly worked to create a full Classics major for Lewis & Clark by developing 17 different courses. Read more.
