Itohan I. Osayimwese ‘97 Receives SAH/Mellon Author Award

Itohan I. Osayimwese ‘97 has received the 2016 SAH/Mellon Author Award in support of the publication of her book Colonialism and the Archive of Modern Architecture in Germany. The award, established in 2016 by a grant from the The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, is given by the Society of Architectural Historians to provide financial relief to scholars who are publishing their first monograph on the history of the built environment.

Osayimwese is assistant professor of history of art and architecture at Brown University.

Osayimwese will be visiting the College this spring as the Growth and Structure of Cities Department’s 2016 Barbara Miller Lane lecturer.
