Joanna Forscher '02 is Co-Executive Producer of Documentary Series About Gender-Based Violence

Joanna (Chejade-Bloom) Forscher '02 is serving as co-executive producer and showrunner for Viceland's new "docuseries" about gender-based violence, "WOMAN," hosted by executive producer Gloria Steinem and scheduled to premiere May 10.

The series will feature a team of all-female journalists telling the stories of women and men on the frontlines of fighting gender-based violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, El Salvador, the United States, and Pakistan. Forscher has previously worked on documentaries for the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, and NBC. She graduated from Bryn Mawr with a degree in Classical and Near Eastern Archeology in 2002.
