Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) alum Nicholas Scull, M.S.S. '02, is featured on the cover of the American Psychological Association magazine Monitor on Psychology.

The magazine cover story on international psychology profiles 10 American psychologists who have moved and pursued their careers abroad. Scull is the director of the mental health and wellness department at the Fawzia Sultan Healthcare Network in Kuwait, a nonprofit clinic that serves children, adolescents, and adults.

From the article:

For others interested in working abroad, he advises first reflecting on one's motivations and then determining one's level of commitment. 'Sometimes, short-term placements can do more harm than good to local communities, so it's important to look past the novelty of moving and appreciate the difficulties inherent to this work,' he says.
