Professor Michelle Francl Talks Vaccines and Chemicals on Arizona Public Radio
Professor of Chemistry Michelle Francl was a guest on the KJZZ 91.5 radio program The Show for a segment about chemicals in vaccines and food.
Her interview responded to a recent Arizona legislative bill that would require vaccine manufacturers to list the chemicals in vaccinations.
From the interview:
"What makes a chemical hazardous is not necessarily its name or what it's used for, but its structure and its dose and how you come in contact with it. There's no difference between a molecule made in a lab or made in nature, and there's no reason to believe nature-made molecules are any safer than people-made molecules."
Francl is the Chair of the Department of Chemistry and the Frank B. Mallory Professor of Chemistry.
