Psychology Students Present Research at the Annual Meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association

Lauren Birmingham ‘21, Lila Glantzman-Leib ‘19, Heather Griffin ‘19, Saarika Kumar ‘19, Hannah Kim ‘19, Zoe Laky ‘19, Eileen Li ‘19, and Ruby Zeng ‘20 presented their research at the Annual Meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association in New York.

Below are the individual projects and the students and faculty who worked on each project:

  • “Modality Mediates the Revelation Effect.” Lauren Birmingham, Tiana Evelyn, Heather Griffin, Ruby Zeng, Professor of Psychology Anjali Thapar.
  • “Emotion-Cognition Interactions are not Stable Across Cognitive Domains.” Saarika Kumar, Hannah Kim, Eileen Li, Professor of Psychology Anjali Thapar.
  • “Exploring Discrimination and Vigilance: Subclinical Health Outcomes for Black Emerging Adults.” Zoe Laky, Lila Glantzman-Leib, Assistant Professor of Psychology Laurel Peterson, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University Nataria Tennille Joseph.

The Department of Psychology offers the student a major program that allows a choice of courses from among a wide variety of fields in psychology: biological, clinical, cognitive, cultural, developmental, health, and social psychology.
