Each summer, Bryn Mawr provides 35-plus students with 10-week research stipends to conduct independent research under the guidance of Bryn Mawr faculty members in the sciences and mathematics.
This year's participants will be highlighting their work at the Summer Science Poster Session from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, in the second floor lobby of the newly renovated Park Science Center. This event is open to the entire Bryn Mawr community.
For a preview of what students will be presenting, check out the videos below of some of this year's Frances Velay Fellows.
Undergraduate research initiatives are central to Bryn Mawr College's approach to science education. All science majors are encouraged to conduct mentored research projects during the summer and/or academic year, and each year more than 50 percent of all science majors do so.
