Physics majors Thea Liao '25 and Eva K Carmona-Rogina '25 secured top spots in the Poster Competition at the  American Physical Society Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP), held at the University of Pennsylvania in January 2024. Supervised by Prof. Xuemei May Cheng, Thea's remarkable work on the fabrication of gold microdisks for cancer treatment earned her the prestigious 2nd place, while Eva's poster on micromagnetic simulations awarded her 4th place. This recognition underscores their research achievements and effectiveness in scientific communication through their poster presentations.
