Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
I am writing with a brief update on testing. On Thursday, September 9 and Friday, September 10, we conducted a “snapshot” round of testing for the campus. Genetworx conducted 1,453 tests for students, faculty, and staff. This testing revealed two new COVID-positive cases (two additional positive cases had been picked up by Health Center testing prior to the snapshot testing). I am grateful to those who participated in the testing and for all that each one of you is doing to protect the health of the community.
We will be conducting a second round of snapshot testing on Monday, October 4 and Tuesday, October 5. We will post information about signing up a few days prior to the test dates. We will also continue to conduct targeted surveillance testing, symptomatic testing, and contact tracing.
To further support the health of the campus, the College will be offering free flu shots on campus to all faculty, students and staff this fall. We will share details as soon as they are available.
