President Wendy Cadge
Bryn Mawr College's 10th President
Welcome to the office of Wendy Cadge, Bryn Mawr College’s 10th president!
Since taking office in July 2024, Wendy has immersed herself in an energetic process of deep learning and reflection about Bryn Mawr. In classrooms, offices, labs, playing fields and Zoom rooms, she is engaging with the College’s remarkable worldwide community – students, staff, faculty, and alums – to understand the distinctive power of a Bryn Mawr education.
Grounded in her experience as a scholar, educator, and academic leader, Wendy has invited the campus to learn alongside her, launching a series of campus forums on current issues in higher education as well as presentations at Coffee Hours on such topics as student summer research, fellowships, voting and civic engagement.
Wendy, her wife Deborah, their middle-school-aged children – and the family menagerie of pugs, cats, and a frog – have enthusiastically embraced Bryn Mawr’s traditions and have even introduced the campus community to a few of their own, including a family tradition involving the Bones Family of skeletons popping up in unexpected places.
The work of the President’s Office happens in partnership and in community, with the Board of Trustees, the Senior Staff, and our colleagues across campus. Let us know how we can support you.

Initiatives in Progress
Strategic Visioning
President Cadge is building on two years of strategic planning work completed before she arrived and all that she learned in her first year on the job. In 2025-26, together we will build innovative approaches to the College’s next chapter through a strategic plan, a comprehensive physical plan for the campus, and pilot grants open to all members of the on-campus college community. The process is guided by four questions that center us on what will best support our students and faculty both today and into the future.
Pilot Projects
Apply for a pilot grant to explore an idea connected to the College’s emerging next chapter. All projects center on active collaborations through designing, piloting, reflecting, and – if successful – scaling across campus by faculty, staff, students, and senior administrators to enhance the experiences of our campus while serving as test cases for potential longer-term investments.
Current Topics in Higher Education
All Bryn Mawr community members are welcome to participate in this thought-provoking series of conversations. In 2025-26, conversations will focus on aspects of the strategic vision.
The ARCH Project
Building upon the spring 2025 dedication of artist Nekisha Durrett’s installation “Don’t Forget to Remember (Me),” ARCH work in 2025-26 is focused on reactivating the Cloisters site and embedding the broader ARCH concept – Art Remediating College Histories – into the fabric of the Bryn Mawr experience.
