Students Present Research

Ankitha Kannad '19, Hyunjung kim '19, and Lamiaa Dakir '20 traveled to Washington, D.C. to present posters on research they conducted in Professor Mike Noel's laboratory over the summer. Lamiaa and Hyunjung described their work in zeroing the magnetic field in the laser trap in order to conduct Larmor precession studies. Ankitha showed her latest results using a genetic algorithm to control ionization pathways in Rydberg atoms. The Bryn Mawr students met up with undergrads from Ursinus College who are mentored by Prof. Tom Carroll. Tom is a Bryn Mawr Physics Ph.D. graduate and Prof. Noel's current collaborator.
