Quilts from the Collection of Joanna Rose '52 Displayed in Kaiser Reading Room

Earlier this month, Canaday Library’s Kaiser Reading Room hosted an exhibition in honor of the publication of Red & White Quilts: Infinite Variety, by Elizabeth Warren ’72 with Maggi Gordon (Rizzoli, 2015), a book devoted to the extraordinary quilt collection amassed by Joanna Rose ’52. The exhibition featured a small number of more than 650 quilts in the Rose collection. 

Both Rose (above right) and Warren (left), a member of the Bryn Mawr College Board of Trustees and a consulting curator for the American Folk Art Museum in New York, were on hand at the opening reception and book signing.
