What’s happening at your internship?
I am working on a full-stack development project that will be used by developers and business analysts at PIMCO to view and export financial data for analysis.
Why did you apply for this internship?
I applied for this internship because I was interested in learning about how technology enables finance, and explore the intersectionality between the two fields at a leading finance company.
What has been your favorite part of this internship?
Networking with Software Engineers and business analysts working on a wide variety of projects and from different teams has been the best part of my internship. Talking to people who have been working in the field for longer has helped me shape my interests in technology.
What skills are you learning and why are they important to you?
I learned a lot of new skills during the summer, including a new frontend framework, Angular and writing backend code in Java. These skills are important to helping me build a good foundation in Software Engineering.
