On Friday and Saturday parking will be available in all Bryn Mawr College lots. In the event that a lot is full, a uniformed Public Safety Officer or a sign will direct you to the next nearest available lot.

Shuttles will be available in all lots except the Campus Center lot to transport guests to/from Merion Green.  Shuttles will begin 1 hour prior to the start of each ceremony and will run up to 30 minutes following the end of each ceremony.

If someone in your party requires special accommodations, such as special parking, see our Requests for Accommodations page.

Bryn Mawr is fortunate to be served by not one, but two frequent rail lines: the Paoli/Thorndale Line, which offers connections to the Airport and Amtrak, as well as the Norristown High-Speed Line. Please check out the SEPTA website (www.septa.org) for current schedule information.

For all other parking inquiries, please contact our office.

  • We will mail an invitation to families or guests of the degree candidate's choosing in April.
  • Extra invitations will be available from the Conferences and Events Office in the Campus Center.
  • Tickets are required for family or friends for your Commencement ceremony.
  • A.B. degree candidates participating in person will be eligible for up to eight (8) tickets for guests for the Saturday ceremony.
  • Masters and Ph.D. candidates participating in person will be eligible for up to twelve tickets for the Friday night ceremony.
  • Tickets will be available for pick-up by the degree candidate when the regalia is picked up.
  • Announcements are not a requirement but are a method of alerting family and friends who might not be able to attend the weekend ceremony.
  • Typically, families choose to order announcements from Balfour as the College has a history with the company. Bryn Mawr awards an "A.B." degree to undergraduate candidates, which is merely "B.A." in Latin.

The graduate reception will follow the ceremony on Friday, May 15, 2026, on Wyndham's back lawn. In case of inclement weather, it will move to the first floor of Wyndham and the covered terrace.

Garden Party will follow the ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2026, on the front lawn of Wyndham.  In case of inclement weather, a list of seniors and their indoor location will be posted on the front doors of Old Library. These locations will be Rhoads Dining Hall, Goodhart Teaching Theatre, New Dorm Dining Hall, Erdman Dining Hall, Great Hall, the Cloisters, Park Science Atrium, and the common rooms of each residence hall:  Brecon, Batten, Radnor, Merion, Denbigh, Pem East, Pem West, Rockefeller, Rhoads, New Dorm and Erdman.

Please review the protocols below before arriving at the Friday graduate and Saturday undergraduate Commencement ceremonies. We are committed to the safety and security of everyone on campus.

Only graduates in regalia and guests with tickets will be permitted inside the Commencement ceremony tent unless you are a volunteer or staff member with a lanyard ID or are part of the academic procession.
