Fellowship Info Session: Davis Projects for Peace Information Session

December 2, 2016

Thursday, Dec. 8, 6:00PM-7:00PM, Campus Center 200

Do you have a creative idea for building peace? Attend this information to learn how you can get $10,000 to implement your idea during the summer of 2017! Also, hear from Joy Rukanzakanza, the recipient of funding from Davis Projects for Peace in 2016!

The Davis Projects for Peace program is an invitation to undergraduates at the American colleges and universities in the Davis United World College Scholars Program to design grassroots projects that they will implement during the summer of 2017. The projects judged to be the most promising and feasible will be funded at $10,000 each. The objective is to encourage and support today's motivated youth to create and try out their own ideas for building peace.

Join Civic Engagement staff and Joy Rukanzakanza, the recipient of funding from Davis Projects for Peace in 2016, to learn more about this amazing opportunity! Joy will talk about the project she developed and how she approached creating her successful proposal. Civic Engagement staff will be on hand to answer logistical questions and support students who are interested in pursuing a project of their own.
