Bryn Mawr Students Present Research at Symposium at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

Biology majors Iris Liu '19 and Jessica Kahng '20 and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology majors Danielle Xie '19 and Maiko Sho '19 presented their research at the Undergraduate Research Symposium at Mount Sinai's Icahn School of Medicine in New York.

Jessica and Iris presented their research on axonal branching during neuronal development, conducted in Professor of Biology Karen Greif’s laboratory. Danielle presented research on mathematical modeling of hepatic insulin resistance in adolescent girls, conducted this past summer in Dr. Melanie Cree-Green's group at the Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Maiko, who won an award for outstanding poster presentation, presented her ongoing research on phenotypic plasticity in aphids, conducted in Associate Professor of Biology Greg Davis’ laboratory.
