January 28, 2016

"Jonas" dumped more than a foot of snow on Bryn Mawr's campus last weekend. Through it all, staff from Dining Services, Facilities, and Campus Safety kept the campus running.

Facilities efforts over the weekend were led by Dawn DiGiovanni and Harold Maryea. Staff who stayed overnight included Andy Bilotta, Larry Bilotta, Butch Cahoone, Delone Copeland, Frank Cozzone, Stephen Magee, Tom Millward, Rob Verdon, Mark Watson, and Paul Dolhancrk. They were joined by a staff of 15 from Charlie Friel landscaping.

Contractor Haynes & Kibblehouse hauled snow to Brecon Field while Bryn Mawr staff plowed most of the parking areas. Friel was in charge of  all the pathways and sidewalks on campus and some of the parking areas.

At Campus Safety nearly every officer who was scheduled made it in over the weekend and Shannon Harrington, Julie McReynolds, and Barry O'Keefe all put in extra shifts, with Harrington and McReynolds spending the night on campus.

Dining Services staff who spent the night on campus to keep the dining halls running included Ray Bevidas, Karen Hickman, Michael Winston, Steven Sensenich, Tyrone Briley, Shana Fountain, Maly Nhek, Arthur Taylor, and Wycliffe Laud.

"I cannot thank our dedicated staff enough," said President Kim Cassidy. "Their commitment to the students is what makes Bryn Mawr not just a campus but a true community."
