Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is educational technology?

Educational Technology provides access to and support for technologies and services that enhance the educational experience. We help faculty, staff, and students to design, implement, and manage the effective integration of technology into their learning and teaching.

Q: How can I get help with educational technology?

Educational Technology Services is available for consultation on everything from setting up a Moodle class to redesigning a syllabus around a digital project. Faculty, staff, and students can ask a question or schedule a consultation by submitting a ticket to the Help Desk, emailing the Help Desk at help@brynmawr.edu, or by setting up an appointment with someone from our team.

Q: What if I want to do something really exciting--try out a new technology, redesign my class, or start a project? What sort of support is available to me?

Whether you wish to talk an idea over, get help with a digital assignment, or you just need additional resources and training, the Educational Technology Services team offers support every step of the way. For extensive projects, faculty, staff, and graduate students are invited to apply for Digital Bryn Mawr Project Grants.

Q: I'm a student. Can I get a job with Educational Technology Services?

Absolutely! We offer regular internships each summer. Learn more by visiting our 2020 call for summer interns! We also offer 1-2 post-baccalaureate positions for recent BMC graduates as a way to gain professional and digital skills.

Q: What are some exciting things happening in digital scholarship and pedagogy this semester?
