Information for Staff During Pope's Visit

The following email was sent to faculty and staff by Chief Administrative Officer Jerry Berenson on Tuesday, September 22.

Dear Faculty and Staff members,

The policy for the Pope’s visit for the period Friday, September 25 to Monday, September 28 is:

Non-essential staff members shall be granted personal or vacation time if they need to leave early on Friday or arrive late to work on Monday due to road closures or other transportation issues.

We do now have some additional information about transportation. Suburban Station in Philadelphia will closeThursday evening at 10 pm and will remain closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Paoli/Thorndale line will operate on a Saturday schedule on Friday and Monday. Please check http://www.septa.com/fares/special-papal-visit.html for updates. The Norristown High Speed Line will operate on Friday and Monday.

Also there will be road closures in Lower Merion Township on Saturday and Sunday on City Line Ave. between Belmont and Lancaster Avenues.  For more information please check:
