"The Last Flight of Poxl West" Named a Top Debut by Amazon.com

Last Flight of Poxl West
Associate Professor of Creative Writing Daniel Torday's The Last Flight of Poxl West has been named one of 2015's best debut books by Amazon.com.

This Sunday, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m., Torday will be giving a talk at Thomas Great Hall about the book, which was chosen to be the 2015 "One Book, One Lower Merion" selection. The event is free and open to the public.

Torday is the director of Bryn Mawr's Creative Writing Program. His novella, The Sensualist, won the 2012 National Jewish Book Award for debut fiction. Torday’s stories and essays have appeared in Esquire, Glimmer Train, n+1, The New York Times, and The Paris Review Daily. A former editor at Esquire, Torday serves as an editor at The Kenyon Review.
