In the 21st century, global learning rests on two pillars, both fully present at Bryn Mawr:
- The deep knowledge, linguistic and interpretive abilities, theoretical concepts, and ways of knowing that arise from a liberal arts curriculum.
- The competencies of interaction, application, and cultural self-awareness that arise from directly engaging our increasingly shared world.
In regard to this second pillar, Bryn Mawr offers an exceptionally wide range of experiences, both overseas and in the very international city of Philadelphia. Students can engage the world during the semester, the summer, and in special programs available to recent graduates from Bryn Mawr.
