Research by Bárbara Domingues Bitarello Appears in Journal's Anniversary Issue

The Society for Molecular Biology and Evolution has selected an article by Assistant Professor of Biology Bárbara Domingues Bitarello to appear in one of a series of special virtual issues of its journals.

The virtual issues celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first issue of Molecular Biology and Evolution and highlight the historic and contemporary contributions of that journal and Genome Biology and Evolution to a specific topic in molecular evolution. 

Bitarello's 2018 article "Signatures of Long-Term Balancing Selection in Human Genomes Genome Biology and Evolution"  appears in the Genome Biology and Evolution virtual issue on inferential methods.
