Westley Mildenhall '17 Wins Math Association Student Paper Competition

Westley Mildenhall '17 has won the 2017 Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware Math Association of America student paper competition. Westley's article is titled Chaotic Systems of Geodesics on Surfaces of Revolution.

The competition is open to undergraduate paper submissions, and the winner receives a $200 prize and recognition at the MAA EPaDel Section's following Fall meeting.

Victor J. Donnay, Professor of Mathematics on the William R. Kenan, Jr. Chair, who worked with Westley, says the paper is "the best piece of student work I have supervised in my 28 years at Bryn Mawr."
