"Bryn Mawr taught me how to use my love of learning to succeed. Whether through working on assignments between classes, discussions with my friends or classmates, or putting in the work at rowing practice, every day that I've been at Bryn Mawr has been an exercise in adaptation and growth. "

"My time in the Energy Afterlives 360 Course Cluster in 2023 changed my life. It introduced me to professors, students, and theories that fundamentally influenced my outlook on the world. It informed my decision to double-major in Geology and History, and expanded my idea of what a college course could be."
How we award financial aid
Our mission? To make a Bryn Mawr degree accessible to all qualified students, no matter their financial background. Here's how we award aid:
- We meet 100% of the calculated need for all admitted students—we're one of less than 100 colleges that do this.
- We competitively award merit scholarships of up to $45,000 per year.
- U.S. families with annual income of $175,000 or less and with typical assets pay no tuition.
The Bryn Mawr Beacon Initiative
Illuminating the affordability of our top-tier education
U.S. families with incomes up to $175,000 and who have typical assets will pay no tuition to attend Bryn Mawr College. Additional costs not covered by the Bryn Mawr Beacon such as housing, food, books, supplies and personal expenses will still be included in determining a family’s total financial aid award. This means that those who qualify for the Bryn Mawr Beacon may also receive additional aid to help cover non-tuition expenses.
Wondering how much aid your family might be eligible for?
Grab your parents, set aside an hour, and get friendly with college cost estimator tools like MyinTuition and the Net Price Calculator. When used correctly, they'll begin to give you a sense of what schools like Bryn Mawr would cost for you. Note that we are in the process of updating both these calculators to include the Bryn Mawr Beacon initiative.
