Sustainability

Bryn Mawr College is committed to environmental sustainability. We approach sustainability with the innovative thinking for which Bryn Mawr is known. We recognize that sustainability is an issue of social justice, and as such is vital to our mission as a socially responsible institution.

As part of our ongoing committment to environmental sustainability, in 2014 we completed an update of the College's Greenhouse Gas Inventory.  The report acknowledges the College's purchased REC's for 50% of its electricity purchased in fiscal year 2014. In FY 2015, the College received credit for purchased REC's for 100% of its electricity purchases. This resulted in a further reduction of our carbon footprint (Carbon Footprint Progress).
