Renewed Purpose Seminar
The Renewed Purpose Seminar is designed for mid-career faculty—associate professors and CNTT faculty who have been at the colleges for five or so years. The seminar will support participants in conceptualizing and pursuing renewal, whatever that means to each person: renewing commitments to long-standing pedagogical or scholarly practices; exploring how to break out of past expectations that might have felt constraining; building capacity for interdisciplinary pedagogical practice and scholarship; branching into a new approach to teaching, research, or service; or something else.
What does participation entail?
Like other TLI seminars, this seminar will meet for 60-90 minutes per week to provide semi-structured space for reflection and dialogue among participants. Each participant will have the opportunity to develop a vision for the next phase of the lifecycle of learning and plans for how to pursue that vision. All participants also have the option of working with a SaLT student consultant, if that would be helpful.
The fall-2026 pilot will be facilitated by Alison Cook-Sather and participation will carry a $2500 stipend (or, if you are a Bryn Mawr College faculty member, the option of taking a .5 SC).
How do I participate?
Participation in the seminar is by application. Applications for the Fall 2026 are now closed.
