Fall Semester 

  • Sept. 2: Parade Night
  • Sept. 5: Labor Day: No classes at Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Swarthmore. Click here for Haverford's class make-up schedule.
  • Sept. 6: PE classes begin.
  • Sept. 8: End of registration period.
  • Sept. 16: Last day to declare Cr/NC for first quarter courses (5 p.m.). Last day to drop a fifth course at Bryn Mawr and Haverford.
  • Oct. 7: Last day to declare Cr/NC for full semester courses (5 p.m.). 
  • Oct. 7-16: Fall break begins after last class.
  • Oct. 17: Classes resume (8 a.m.).
  • Oct. 21: First quarter (including PE) courses end.
  • Oct. 21: Last day to add a second quarter course. 
  • Oct. 24: Second quarter (including PE) courses begin.
  • Oct. 24-Nov.11: Bryn Mawr advising before Spring Pre-Registration.
  • Oct. 28: Last day to drop a second quarter course.
  • Oct. 29-30: Family and Friends Weekend.
  • Oct. 30: Lantern Night
  • Nov. 11: Last day to declare Cr/NC for second quarter courses (5 p.m.)
  • Nov. 14-18: Bryn Mawr Pre-Registration for Spring.
  • Nov. 23: Thanksgiving break begins after last class.
  • Nov. 28: Classes resume (8 a.m.)
  • Dec. 1: Spring tuition bill posted.
  • Dec. 7: Last day of classes at Swarthmore (Exams: Dec. 11-17).
  • Dec. 8: Last day of classes at Bryn Mawr, all written work due 5 p.m.
  • Dec. 9: Last day of classes at Haverford, optional review day at Haverford.
  • Dec. 9-10: Review Period
  • Dec. 11-16: Examination Period (ends at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 16).
  • Dec. 12: Last day of classes at Penn (Exams: Dec. 15-22).
  • Dec. 16: Winter Break begins (dorms close at 6 p.m.).

We maintain the permanent academic records of all students. The Registrar's Office complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) and maintains student privacy requests.
