Batten Applications Open!

Batten House is an on-campus student-run living cooperative on stolen Lenapehoking. Our community fosters an intentional political space via our shared commitments to environmental and social justice. We value radical community care, social and environmental justice, and intersectionality. Our members practice restorative and transformative justice and horizontal communal living. We reject and challenge hierarchical structures by disentangling ourselves from the tenets of white supremacy. We begin by recognizing the role of Bryn Mawr as an institution that is inherently complicit with white supremacy cultures and roots. We must also, therefore, recognize the privileges we have as students of said institution. With great gratitude comes great responsibility!
