Call For Panelists: Angela Davis Film Screening In Collaboration with Flexner Lectureship and SGA

In March of 2027, Flexner Lecturer Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor will be in residence at Bryn Mawr to engage the community in her work regarding Black politics and the political lives of Angela Davis. The Flexner Lectureship Committee is partnering with the Self-Governance Association (SGA) for a Teach-In to honor the political and social lives of Angela Davis, during SGA Stike Week. We invite students, faculty, staff, and members of the Tri-Co community to participate in a panel featuring their expertise on the works of Angela Davis, the Black Radical Tradition, and/or the Black Panthers. The teach-in will feature a short film screening followed by a panel discussion. There will also be the opportunity for 1-2 short presentations by panel members. Panel members will be selected based on their responses to the following questions on our form. The Teach-In will take place on Friday, November 20th at 4:00pm on Bryn Mawr's campus, and refreshments will be served. This Google Form will close at midnight on October 11, 2026.
