Listen, Learn, Connect is an event series organized by the Career & Civic Engagement Center to bring alumnae/i back to campus to connect with current students and provide career insights and guidance.
Students will…
--Explore the diverse industries and job types available to STEM graduates;
--Build relationships with students and alumnae/i who share similar interests;
--Initiate career exploration using Career & Civic Engagement Center resources; and,
--Review and practice key career ready competences including communication and connection.
All students are welcome to attend regardless of their selected major!
Suggested Prep Work: Student attendees are encouraged, but not required, to
--Review panelists' LinkedIn profiles and available information regarding their current job (e.g., explore their employers' website).
--Draft questions for the panelists based on your interests, curiosities or career plans.
--Complete the Pathway U assessments to identify which industries and job types are best aligned with your interests, values, personality and workplace preferences. (To access Pathway U, log into Mawrter Connect. From the top menu drop down, hover over Career and click Pathway U. This will take you to the site to setup your account and take the assessments.)
