Career+Civic & Russian: Apply by 10/10 for the Spring 2026 Inside-Out Prison Exchange Praxis Course
Prof. Vergara will be teaching his Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program course, RUSS252 Love, Death, Justice, & Russian Literature in the Spring of 2026.
The class is part of a program called Inside-Out that brings together college students and incarcerated students to study a subject and to engage with one another through dialogue, writing, and collaboration.
RUSS252 will be held off campus at SCI Chester, a medium-security men’s prison, on Tuesday afternoons (approximately 11.45-4.30 including travel time). While the content is Russian literature, the conversations and community components of the class are just as, if not more than, important. The course will be taught in English. No Russian language skills required.
To express interest, Bi-Co students will need to complete a brief application form by Oct. 10 and an interview.
