Beginning Monday, October 12, Facilities Services and QCI Excavation will be repairing two roadway surface drains along Taylor Drive. The project will include restoring the existing drain basins, resetting the storm grates, and restoring the roadway surface around the storm drains to its original elevation. These repairs will improve stormwater collection and create a safer, more even walking surface through the Pembroke Archway area. The work is expected to take approximately 3–4 days, weather permitting. During construction, the campus community may experience noise associated with excavation, grinding, and jackhammering. The walkway/road will remain open throughout the project; however, the active construction area will be enclosed with fencing for the safety of pedestrians and construction personnel. We appreciate the campus community’s patience and cooperation while this necessary maintenance work is completed.
