In honor of International Education Week, the Office of Global Engagement invites students to enter a photo contest highlighting the many ways Bryn Mawr students engage with international experiences. The submission form opens for entries on October 21 and will close at 11:59 p.m. EST on Friday, November 1.
Winners will receive a $25 gift card to the BMC Bookshop. Winners and runners-up will have their work featured on the Global Engagement website, social media, and/or in Guild Hall.
This contest has two themes with four categories each. Students may submit 1 entry per category for up to 2 categories.
Experiences Abroad: Open to current students who have participated in a college-sponsored international experience.
1. A Day in the Life – Choose a photo that captures a cultural and/or linguistic immersion experience that you had while abroad.
2. The Scenic Route – Do you have a photo of a striking landscape or cityscape? This is your place to share!
3. Owls Abroad – Show your Bryn Mawr pride abroad, whether it’s an owl or lantern motif, by wearing College gear, or another means.
4. Postcard-Worthy – Have a great photo that doesn’t fit the categories above? Submit it here!
International Student Experiences (submit up to 2 photos, 1 per category): Open to current international students.
1. The Bryn Mawr Experience – Capture a photo that you think best captures your Bryn Mawr experience.
2. USA Sightseeing – Submit your photos taken while exploring the United States!
3. Hometown Pride – Show us your hometown, or how you’ve brought a piece of home with you to Bryn Mawr!
4. College Connections – Who have you connected with at Bryn Mawr? Show us your group photos! Selfies welcome!
