Travel Writing Contest: Sponsored by the Office of Global Engagement
Guidelines
The Office of Global Engagement is excited to sponsor our first annual travel writing contest! Submit an entry by 4/2 at 11:59pm EST to be considered!
The writing should draw upon a college-sponsored travel experience, and can express how your travel has challenged, changed, or inspired you. It must be your original work. No use of A.I.
Submissions may be of any genre, up to 2 pages.
As works are judged anonymously by a panel of faculty & staff, your name should not appear anywhere on the documents containing your work.
Subject Matter
If you’re not sure what to write about, here are some suggestions:
A particularly memorable day or moment from your time abroad
A portrait of or interaction with someone you met while abroad
A sensory experience of a place
Something you learned about yourself or others
How your travels have changed your perspective on an issue
Eligibility
The contest is open to current Bryn Mawr undergraduate students who have completed or are currently doing college-sponsored travel.
Prizes
