Bystander Intervention is an important skill that helps empower individuals and communities to step in when they witness events such as bias, harassment, interpersonal conflict, and much more.

At Bryn Mawr, we utilize the Step UP! model of bystander intervention which was created at the University of Arizona. Step UP! is a nationally recognized, evidence based program that has received a NASPA Gold award and is identified as a ‘Best Practice’ by the NCAA Sports Science Institute of national and international scholars
