Career+Civic: MIT Lincoln Labs-Quantum Computing - The Promise, The Challenge, The Path Ahead
Since quantum hardware development began in the 90’s, there have been many advancements in qubit technology, gate fidelity, and the number of interconnected qubits on a single chip. However, the full realization of a fault tolerant quantum computing system is still far off. Join Matt Lucker (‘21) of MIT Lincoln Laboratory who will answer questions such as what quantum computing is and what the current challenges are that must be overcome to create a useful quantum computer.
