DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN An Evening with Susan Seidelman

New 4K restoration! A bored suburban housewife (Rosanna Arquette) becomes fascinated by a series of personal ads seeking the mysterious, free-spirited Susan (Madonna).
After an amnesia-inducing bump on the noggin, she becomes convinced that she herself is Susan, plunging her headlong into a madcap New York adventure involving murder, the mob, and stolen Egyptian artifacts. Director Susan Seidelman will join us for a post-screening conversation with the Mawrters at the Movies podcast and will then sign her book Desperately Seeking Something: A Memoir About Movies, Mothers, and Material Girls, for sale on site from Main Point Books. BMC students/staff/faculty can get a $0.00 ticket online using the promo code DSSMawr or at the box office on the night of the show.
Co-sponsored by Bryn Mawr College's Program in Film Studies, Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies, Performing Arts Series, and Center for Visual Culture.
