Bryn Mawr College Sociology Department and the Subramanian-Linden Fund cordially invite the College community to celebrate the careers of Mary J. Osirim, who served as professor of sociology from 1985 to 2020 and Bryn Mawr College provost from 2014 to 2020, and Robert E. Washington, who served as professor of sociology from 1971 to 2020.
Remarks will be presented by:
- Akosua Adomako Ampofo, president of African Studies Association of Africa and professor of African and Gender Studies at the Institute of African Studies at the University of Ghana
- Binaifer Nowrojee, vice president for Organizational Transformation at the Open Society Foundations and founding director of the Open Society Foundations' East Africa Foundation
- Kim Cassidy, president of Bryn Mawr College
- The Honorees
