Maitin was an artist, designer, activist, and community volunteer known affectionately as the “Mayor of the Arts” in Philadelphia. His colorful public art sculptures, murals, prints, and posters enlivened non-profits and businesses throughout the city. There are four posters by Maitin in the SAY IT! exhibition and participants will have the opportunity to see an additional array of his distinctive and energetic posters in Special Collections.
