Sounds of Heritage: A Concert of North Indian Classical Music
On Monday, February 9 at 7:30 PM, the Kessinger Family Fund for Asian Performing Arts presents Sounds of Heritage: A Concert of North Indian Classical Music, featuring Suhail Yusuf Khan, sarangi (bowed fiddle) and vocals, and Aqeel Bhatti, table (drums). Suhail Yusuf Khan descends from the most celebrated lineage of sarangi players of Old Delhi. Together with tabla player Aqeel Bhatti, they will bring to the stage the riches of traditional Hindustani (North Indian classical) music. This concert will be held in the Michael Jaharis Recital Hall and is free and open to the public.
