Strawbridge Observatory Hiring/Training Event

Hello everyone! As the spring semester begins, we at the Strawbridge Public Observing Team are beginning a new cycle of applications for PAID POSITIONS on our team. If you have a passion for science outreach or stargazing, we welcome you to fill out the application form linked below; first year students are strongly encouraged to apply. The positions aren’t limited to physics or astrophysics majors, as long as you have a passion and are willing to learn the basics, you qualify! If you plan on applying, please attend the volunteer training event at the Strawbridge Observatory on Saturday, January 31 from 7-9 pm. We will be training you on the telescopes and science demos, as well as holding interviews. Just take the 6:30pm Blue Bus, turn right as you exit the bus, and go back down the road towards the soccer field until you see the building with two big domes. If you have a scheduling conflict with the training event, please email strawbridge.observing@gmail.com and CC aandreeva@brynmawr.edu, mejackson@haverford.edu and ndantonio@haverford.edu to request a private interview at a different time.
