Girls Who Code is hosting the first-ever Tri-Co Protothon, which is basically a hackathon without the coding element! The Protothon will happen at Bryn Mawr College from Saturday, April 23 to Sunday, April 24, and is open to Tri-Co students regardless of their major and class year.
The goal of the Protothon is to provide students with an opportunity to work on a real-world product and learn about the process of product development and design. Teams will work in groups of two to four to build a product prototype according to a prompt. Each team will also be assigned a mentor - a startup founder, or a product manager - who will provide mentorship and guidance on the development process. At the end of the two days, each group will submit and present a pitch deck and a product prototype to be eligible for prizes.
