"Visual Representations of the Holocaust: Louise Fishman Revisited"
Please join the Department of History of Art and the Program in Hebrew and Judaic Studies for a special lecture by Brett Ashley Kaplan, Director of the Initiative in Holocaust, Genocide and Memory Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The lecture, "Visual Representations of the Holocaust: Louise Fishman Revisited," will focus on the abstract painterly practice of the Philadelphia-born painter Louise Fishman, specifically, the turn it took after visiting Auschwitz and Terezin, in the company of a survivor friend, in 1988.
Bryn Mawr College welcomes the full participation of all individuals in all aspects of campus life. Should you wish to request a disability-related accommodation for this event, please contact the event sponsor/coordinator. Requests should be made as early as possible.
