Biography

Jamie Taylor (Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania) specializes in the literature and culture of medieval England, with teaching and research interests in medieval law, documentary culture, and cross-cultural literary and cultural exchanges (particularly Anglo-Iberian). Her first book, Fictions of Evidence: Witnessing, Literature, and Community in Late Medieval England (Ohio State, 2013) examines legal and theological forms of testimony. She is currently researching the ways medieval English writers deployed "Spain" as a geopolitical heuristic.
