Biography

Scott Giacomucci, DSW, LCSW, BCD, CGP, FAAETS, TEP - Dr. Giacomucci is the Director/Founder of the Phoenix Center for Experiential Trauma Therapy and Director of Trauma Services at Mirmont Treatment Center. Scott is an award-winning expert in group work and psychodrama, frequently presenting around the world and teaches a trauma-focused psychodrama course at Bryn Mawr College. His open-access textbook, Social Work, Sociometry, & Psychodrama (2021), has been downloaded over 170,000 times. He serves on the Executive Council of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy & Psychodrama and is co-chair of the Research Committee. His mixed-methods research focuses on the effectiveness of trauma-focused psychodrama. He is Co-Chief Editor of the Journal of Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy, and Co-Editor of the first international psychodrama book series.
